Organization Summary

The Town of Grand Isle is located in Grand Isle County and is central in the Champlain Islands. The Town is bordered on three sides by water:  on the east by the Inland Sea; on the west by the broad lake of Lake Champlain; and on the north by the “gut” at the drawbridge to North Hero.  Grand Isle is the connection for the year-round ferry to Plattsburgh, New York.  The Town is a short 30-minute drive to Burlington and a day trip to Montreal, Canada.  The fertile farmland fields overlook vistas of breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.  Grand Isle’s views are tranquil, peaceful and pastoral.
