Today we celebrate Earth Day with you and the rest of the world!
We invite you to take action this Earth Day. Whether you have transitioned to reusable bags, are driving an electric vehicle, or have made the switch to solar, we at CollectiveSun recognize that we are all in this together.
Lee Barken, Chief Community Officer at CollectiveSun, says, “Earth Day reminds us of what’s most important and the work we have ahead of us. We stand at the precipice of a transformative clean energy economy that generates 100% carbon-free electricity by 2035. This is akin to a call to arms for the solar industry, and CollectiveSun is prepared to meet the challenge.”
This year’s Earth Day theme, “Restore Our Earth,” focuses on “natural processes, emerging green technologies and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems.” CollectiveSun is proud to have worked with over 140 nonprofit partners to join in the effort to restore our planet and combat climate change through solar. Solar, predicted to quadruple in size over the next decade in the US alone, gives Americans the opportunity to play a part in protecting our planet by significantly reducing their environmental impact. Technology in the industry is constantly evolving to meet the growing demand and recent policy advances, something the Department of Energy has recognized as it makes plans to significantly invest in lowering the cost of solar and speeding up adoption of solar technologies in the next ten years.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to making solar a reality for all nonprofits and tax exempt organizations across the country through simple, low cost solar funding.
As we celebrate Earth Day, CollectiveSun, along with our nonprofit, installer and investor partners, will continue to help form the foundation for a sustainable future that nurtures the environment. Communities everywhere are stepping up with bold, sweeping policy as well as tangible commitments to environmental sustainability.
As of 2020 CollectiveSun projects will produce an estimated 575,000,000 kilowatt hours of electricity! This is the the equivalent of planting 499,251 acres of forest, removing 88,621 passenger vehicles from the road, and 138,603 tons of waste recycled instead of landfilled.
We invite you to take a stand against climate change and make a step towards a future of renewable energy!
