“WE WERE ABLE TO UNLOCK THE PROJECTS WE PUT ON HOLD AND WE EXPERIENCED COST SAVINGS FROM THE GET-GO. I HAVE TO SAY THAT IT WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE EASIEST CAPITAL SPENDING DECISIONS WE EVER MADE. ONE THAT WE LOOK FORWARD TO, HOPEFULLY, GETTING TO EXPERIENCE AT SOME OF OUR OTHER LOCATIONS.”
– MICHELE LAMBERT, CFO OF VISTA COMMUNITY CLINIC
Kathlyn with BQuest started things off by describing BQuest’s efforts to fight climate change through project funding and partnership with clean energy and advocacy organizations. She discussed the foundation’s programs and defined impact investing and its benefits.
After briefly describing our work at CollectiveSun, Lee took a deep dive into the SunForAll Solar Fund, looking at how it streamlines the process of going solar for nonprofits, both around financing and project management. He broke down exactly how the installation discount and low-interest loan work, laid out the terms and savings involved, and discussed the eligibility requirements.
Michele then jumped in to highlight Vista Community Clinic’s mission and solar journey with the SunForAll Solar Fund. She laid out the system size, cost savings and projected ROI and talked about how the fund made the project financially feasible for the clinic. Michele also took a detailed look at the various factors involved with assessing how to fund a nonprofit solar array.
The speakers ended the presentation with an extensive Q&A that covered working with CollectiveSun, array components, SunForAll Solar Fund loan terms, and more.
