TERI INVESTORS BECOME DONORS!

Investors donated some portion of their check back to TERI, Inc. None of those nine “give-back” investors had previously donated to TERI.

It’s a common conversation in the nonprofit sector – How do we attract new supporters? For TERI it’s been as simple as paying the power bill. By reaching out to impact investors through this partnership with CollectiveSun®, TERI has found a new group of supporters in their solar power investors. These investors have a vested interest in the efficient and effective operation of the TERI’s campus and homes. Yet in the past year, they have discovered TERI’s story is as powerful as the solar system that runs their facilities. TERI’s respectful, compassionate work has sparked an emotional tie for these investors-turned-donors.

TERI, Inc. has a history of being an innovative and forward-thinking organization. Since 1980, it has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adults with developmental and learning disabilities. TERI maintains a commitment to set new standards through establishing and operating model programs, conducting applied research in best practice procedures, and offering training and consultation to professionals, families, and other community members. This dedication to best practices extends to their operations as demonstrated by their boldness in being the first to utilize the CollectiveSun® crowd-lending and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model to get solar on their homes for adults with disabilities.

It’s been just over a year since the TERI, Inc. solar power systems went into service, thanks to their confidence in CollectiveSun®. The energy bill savings TERI has reaped are being used to pay back their investors, along with funding their supportive programs for children and adults with disabilities, and the improvement and expansion of TERI’s Campus of Life.
