CollectiveSun is an impact investment platform that allows nonprofits to go solar through the support of community investors. Beyond simply funding an organization’s solar panels, our PPA model provides Solar as a Service instead of solar as a product. Our unique approach to removing obstacles for nonprofits to go solar has drawn the attention of the San Diego impact investor community.
CollectiveSun is honored to be part of the upcoming San Diego Impact Investors (SDii) Deal Flow Event, a collaborative project of San Diego Grantmakers. Lee Barken, our Chief Community Officer, will participate in the event as a consultant to SDii.
About the SDii Deal Flow Event
Vetted companies will present to the audience and a selected panel of experts. The panelists will facilitate discussion and ask clarifying questions of the presenters, and a reception will create a space for all attendees to interact. While there will not be a “winner” or financial awards at the showcase, the event will connect impact investors and financiers with potential investee organizations. Among the criteria to be evaluated are the strength of the presenting team, the value proposition, business model, governance, and validation of the model.
