There’s been a lot of concern lately about the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and its direct pay provision. Key legislation for nonprofits going solar will remain in place, but there are still lots of questions. The IRA has broad bipartisan support, and clean energy is more popular than ever. If you’re concerned about the future of the IRA, the best thing you can do is start your nonprofit solar project now, while the legislation is still available to significantly lower your costs. CollectiveSun can help you get going; don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Churches are vital community centers that can also serve as resilience hubs. To help save lives by providing essential services during power outages, churches in Louisiana are installing solar-plus-storage.

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) enjoys bipartisan support. At least eight Republican Congress members recently voiced support for retaining tax credits created by the IRA, and last week, 133 mayors and local elected officials from 39 states plus DC sent a letter to members of Congress calling on them to preserve all clean energy tax credits available to state and local governments through direct pay.
